Virtual Tour: Osmanthus Trail

The Osmanthus Trail is 3.1 miles long and can be accessed from the Bald Cypress Trail located behind the Trail Center. This lowland trail is a little wetter than most of our other trails and is open only to hikers. This trail is named after the osmanthus or wild olive tree and is home to a variety of ferns.

"When my husband and I were engaged, we took our soon to be "blended" family to Hungry Mother State Park for our first attempt at bringing together our three girls. He has two and I have one. One morning we decided to take the oldest daughter for a hike on Molly's Knob. We did the entire trail and the views were magnificent.
