Each winter, Breaks Interstate participates in the National Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count, which is used to raise awareness of increases and decreases of particular bird species.

"When my husband and I were engaged, we took our soon to be "blended" family to Hungry Mother State Park for our first attempt at bringing together our three girls. He has two and I have one. One morning we decided to take the oldest daughter for a hike on Molly's Knob. We did the entire trail and the views were magnificent. More importantly I was able to start that relationship with the oldest daughter that I hold dear twenty-one years later. Thank you Hungry Mother State Park for a memory we'll…"
