There are three short hiking trails, including one to a battlefield memorial.

Hiking Trails At Sailors Creek Battlefield Historical State Park

Confederate Overlook Trail

The Confederate Overlook Trail is about a 1 mile easy hiking trail that takes you along various points of interest. Interpretive markers can be found along your travels that explains the history of this hallowed ground. Your hike will eventually lead you along Little Sailors Creek and loop back to the start of the trail.

Monument Trail

The Monument Trail is a short, easy trail that takes you to a Memorial for those who fought for both armies at Sailor's Creek and was dedicated in April 2000.

"When my husband and I were engaged, we took our soon to be "blended" family to Hungry Mother State Park for our first attempt at bringing together our three girls. He has two and I have one. One morning we decided to take the oldest daughter for a hike on Molly's Knob. We did the entire trail and the views were magnificent.
