I love the Northern Neck and I love to show it off!
There are so many things to do here on the “Neck” at any given weekend. On May 2nd we will offer three great and very different ways to experience the Northern Neck of Virginia!
Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge/Wilna
First learn archery with Gary Bareford from US Fish and Wildlife at the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge, then have lunch at Historic Menokin where you can see the remnants and archeological artifacts from the home of Francis Lightfoot Lee, in the afternoon paddle the pristine waters of Cat Point Creek with Chief Rangers Sammy Zambon and Laurie Schular.
Kayaking on the river
The second excursion will take you fishing with Captain Billy on the Chesapeake Bay. He will teach you how to fish while telling the stories and the history of the Chesapeake Bay. Just in time for the new film about the Bay click here to see the new movie trailer!
Historic Christ Church
The Tides Inn
The other option is the lower Northern Neck at its best. Tour Historic Christ Church, lunch at the very famous Tides Inn, then wine tasting and oyster pairing with the owner from the Dog and Oyster Vineyards.
Eagles soring over the cliffs at Westmoreland
After you make your reservation for the weekend, you will be directed where to sign up for excursions. For participants coming in Thursday night, we will have a dinner excursion to Colonial Beach via golf carts.
