Women's Wellness Weekends were designed as way to introduce women to health, wellness, and outdoor recreation against the backdrop of a Virginia State Park. During the weekend, you will make new friends, reconnect to the outdoors, and relax to the outdoor symphony of the wind in the trees and the birds chirping in flight.
This year's event begins with an optional Thursday night Grub Crawl at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. We will have appetizers, dinner, dessert, and cocktails/coffee at four different venues on the boardwalk. Friday field trips include False Cape State Park, Chippokes Plantation State Park, and the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.
The weekend's main events begin at 3pm on Friday, April 19 when the registration desk opens where you pick up your backpack, T-shirt, and program schedule. Dinner starts at 6pm and will feature a fresh fruit Sangria and juice bar. A fun game of beach bingo will close out Friday evening. On Saturday, there will be a wide variety of workshops to choose from: kayaking (weather permitting), sea glass jewelry class, Homemade Herbals, Pasta making class, Surf Fishing, guided hikes, Vickie Shufer's Lotions and Potions seminar, and much more. Lunch and Dinner on Saturday will be provided. Sunday will feature workshops, a gourmet brunch and door prizes.
As the event host, I am looking forward to seeing you here and promise that this year's event will be the best one yet! Grab your friends and reserve your space ASAP!

Last year's participants learn about canning and make strawberry jam. This year we will offer pasta making and dehydrating classes in the food category.

Friday's field trip to Chippokes Plantation State Park will feature a car ferry ride across the James River and a tour of the historic Jones-Stewart Mansion.

False Cape State Park features 7 miles of undeveloped Atlantic Ocean shoreline

We will officially kick off our outdoor weekend on Friday with beach bingo after dinner!
