Sponsors and volunteers needed for First Landing's Fall Fest

Sponsors and Volunteers Needed for First Landing's Fall Fest

Are you crafty? Do you can, pickle, or preserve? Do you have "harvest skills" like pumpkin carving or cider making? Do you make soap? Have some great apple pie recipes?  If so, we need you!!

First Landing State Park is holding its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and we are looking for volunteers, exhibitors and sponsors. In honor of the opening of the new Trail Center and to promote the great outdoors, we want this year's event to be the best ever and have exhibitors and activities at the Trail Center AND the picnic area.

Got a few extra pumpkins in the patch? Send them our way! First Landing State Park

Calling all pumpkins

Exhibit space is free, but products or activities have a harvest/autumn theme. This event is not a "fright fest", please no scary Halloween type exhibits.

We need also need sponsors to donate or help defray the costs of pumpkins, hay bales, and craft supplies. Sponsors get a free booth to distribute their company information.

Volunteers are needed to help with children's activities and with the information booths.

For more information, please contact Kim Miller, Special Events and Volunteer Coordinator at First Landing State Park: Kim.Miller@dcr.virginia.gov
