Rhythm on the River

Virginia State Parks are well known for diverse ecosystems from the Appalachian highlands to the Atlantic Coast...and now you can enjoy a diverse music selection as well all at one park!

The Friends of York River State Park will host an exciting blend of music for every taste. The York River Music Festival takes place on Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 from noon to 6pm.

Come on out for the York River Music Festival!

String Theory will bring a unique blend of country, blues, and light rock. Who Invited You plays an energetic reggae sound to make crowds get up and dance. Chill out with the Christian inspired hip-hop jazz of Masego

Rock out the rest of the evening with the indie rock sounds of The GloomWalking Through A Minefield and Conquering Rome will provide plenty of heavy metal energy for the end of the festival.  Come for your favorite genre, or expand your musical horizons. Guests will find something they enjoy overlooking the York River.

Tickets for the York River Music Festival are $10 plus $3 for parking. Tickets can be purchased at the park's contact station or in advance by Pay Pal.

Directions to York River State Park: From I-64, take the Croaker Exit 231B. Go north on Route 607 (Croaker Rd.) for one mile, then right on Route 606 (Riverview Rd.) about one and a half miles to the park entrance. Take a left turn into the park.
