Sometimes it is easier to sit back and let the Virginia State Parks Facebook Page feed us the info as it is made available, but did you know there are events, services and programs that are sometimes not featured on VirginiaOutdoors.com or Facebook? Or something was covered on a day you were not online.
We still recommend you follow us on Facebook (click here), in fact highly recommend this as there are often special announcements, photos, and trivia there that really cannot be posted any where else! Some of these are urgent and informative and "Facebookers" are the first to know! Plus you can ask direct questions and receive immediate feedback from Virginia State Parks staff, if they don't have the answer right away they will find out who does!
I hope this video about our state parks will ignite the fire, the year is not over, there is still time to visit your favorite park for a picnic, a hike or weekend cabin getaway (there are 260 cabins to choose from!)
But what about these other programs and services? Are there other areas of the state parks you have yet to explore? If you click here on the Virginia State Parks website you will see what I am talking about. It is sort of like a sitemap for programs and services. I am going to post a list below for you to peruse as well:
