Bear Creek Lake State Park Celebrates 70th Anniversary

Saturday May 15th was a beautiful spring day and just perfect for Bear Creek Lake State Park's 70th Anniversary Celebration.

Campers and cabin guests joined the ranks of local attendees who participated in the many activities scheduled for the day. Included were a trail dedication for the grand opening of the newly renovated trail system at the park, a tour of one of the park's rental cabins and Bear Creek Hall, hikes, boat rentals, and displays. Visitors were also able to enjoy swimming at the beach, a special treat since traditionally the swimming area does not open until Memorial Day weekend.
