Saturday, May 22, 2010, is the park’s newest special event, The Night Owl. The Night Owl is a mountain bike race with a different twist, it begins at 9:00 PM. Yes, it is a night race that winds through the trails of Hungry Mother State Park. Registration is $25 and begins at 7:45 PM at the beach concession area. The race will include three categories: Expert, Sport, and Beginner. The event is hosted by Hungry Mother State Park and sponsored by the Friends of Hungry Mother.
