Bear Creek Lake State Park Celebrates Its 70th Anniversary

This weekend Bear Creek Lake State Park will celebrate its 70th Anniversary with activities for the entire family. On Saturday, May 15th from 10a.m. to 1 p.m. activities related to a trail dedication will take place at Bear Creek Hall and exhibitors such as the Central Piedmont Master Naturalist will be present.

Interpretative programs will be take place throughout the day. The event is FREE. The parking fee for the entire weekend will be reduced to 10 cents to represent the parking fee of 1936.

Here is info about the change: Facility Use Permit Effective January 1, 2012, a Facility Use Permit will be required when using any Department-owned Wildlife Management Area or Fishing Lake.
