Outdoor Expo at York River State Park

Kick off the summer at the York River State Park Outdoor Expo.

This family-oriented event will feature exhibits, demonstrations and programs related to hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, canoeing, and back country camping.

Expert vendors will be on-hand to help you learn the skills and purchase equipment that works for you. Special exhibitors featuring demonstrations and equipment for horseback riders and pet owners will also be featured during this event.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 10am-4pm. The event is free. Virginia State Park parking fees apply.

"The Wildlife Management areas are managed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. What you heard is incorrect. Here is info about the change: Facility Use Permit Effective January 1, 2012, a Facility Use Permit will be required when using any Department-owned Wildlife Management Area or Fishing Lake. Such permit shall not be required for any person holding a valid hunting, fishing or trapping license or a current certificate of boat registration issued by the Department or persons…"
