Fun After Dark At Sky Meadows State Park

I am often stunned by how many high quality, family friendly programs go on in our parks.

We are so fortunate to have talented volunteers who have a desire to share their rich knowledge with others.

Saturday night, May 8th, from 8-11 PM there is another opportunity to experience one of Sky Meadows State Park most popular and entertaining programs- Astronomy for Everyone. A truly unique Northern Virginia outdoor event.

You will be able to find out about U.S. space research, take a sky tour and look for deep space objects through large telescopes. This program is offered in partnership with NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, the Albert Einstein Planetarium and the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club.

If the sky is cloudy, only the NASA/JPL program will be presented and the gates will close an hour early. Bring your children 1/2 hour early for a special "Junior Astronomer" activity.

Come early and check out great Virginia hiking trails at Sky Meadows State Park.

Hope to see you there!
