First Landing to reopen 45 more campsites

This has been a bad spring at First Landing. As many of you know, the park had most of its campsites under water this winter. The water has finally started receding and park staff have dedicated themselves to cleanup so the sites can be available for rent as soon as possible.

Effective Friday, April 30, 2010, we will be putting 45 additional sites on line for reservations for May 3rd and beyond. Having said that, please keep in mind that we already had reservations for much of the summer, especially Memorial Day weekend, so there still may not be availability on some weekends.
 
The park hopes to open another 50 sites in two weeks. We will again post a notice here in the enews and on our blog to give everyone a fair chance for calling in to reserve any available sites. Thankfully we believe we will be able to cover all of the existing Memorial Day reservations. We are still keeping the web reservations for the campsites blocked due to some technical issues related to the significant closed sites.
