Shell & Tell at False Cape State Park

Saturday, May 8 from 10am-2pm False Cape State Park is offering a "Shell & Tell" seashell program.  False Cape boasts an incredible treasure trove of huge whelk, oyster, and moon snail shells.

We will stroll down the beach looking for seashells and other beach artifacts.  Find out what animal lived inside the shell and its role in the food chain.  The program will being at Barbour's Hill Visitor Center at 10am and is open to the public--including campers, hikers, bikers, and tram guests.


The tram provides transportation to False Cape State Park from Back Bay National Widllife Refuge Visitor Center at 9am and returns at 1pm.  The cost is 48 for adults; $6 for children under 12 and adults over 62; children under 3 are free. 

Please dress appropriately for the weather---bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.  Don't forget your camera.
