Coastal Plants program at False Cape

Saturday, May 1, 2010....

Find out how coastal plants were used by American Indians for fiber, food, and other crafts.  Find out how coastal plants are used today.  The program, from 10am to 12noon, will begin at Barbour's Hill Visitor Center at  and is open to the public--including hikers, bikers, and tram guests.  The program is free. 

Guests who wish to take the tram to the program or to explore the park on their own should be at the "Tram Stop" at Back Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center for a 9am departure.  The tram returns at 1pm.  The cost is $8/adults; $6/children under 12 and seniors over 62; children under 3 are free. 

Remember the tram is an open-air vehicle, please dress appropriately for the weather.  Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.  Don't forget the camera!!
