Boat Slips Available at Claytor Lake State Park

Claytor Lake State Park offers season boat slips to allow boating enthusiasts an opportunity to park their boat within Claytor Lake State Park for a rental fee from March to November yearly.

There are currently nine boat slips left for rent through November 2010.

Five single boat slips are available for $446.25 a piece, and four double boat slips are available for $892.50. Please call the park office at 540-643-2500 for more information and to reserve your boat slip today.

For general park information go to www.virginiastateparks.gov, contact the park office at 540-643-2500 or e-mail Claytor Lake State Park at ClaytorLake@dcr.virginia.gov. Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive, Dublin, VA 24084.

Overnight reservations can also be made by calling 1-800-933-PARK (7275) or by booking on line.

"The Wildlife Management areas are managed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. What you heard is incorrect. Here is info about the change: Facility Use Permit Effective January 1, 2012, a Facility Use Permit will be required when using any Department-owned Wildlife Management Area or Fishing Lake. Such permit shall not be required for any person holding a valid hunting, fishing or trapping license or a current certificate of boat registration issued by the Department or persons…"
