Looking for a quiet place to spread a blanket, cook some hotdogs, and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon? Then why not pack up the whole family and head to one of Virginia's 35 State Parks like Twin Lakes State Park that is fully equipped with picnic tables, outdoor grills, and restrooms. For large groups that like the comfort of a permanent shelter, parks such as Leesylvania and many others rent large picnic shelters along the beach with playground equipment for the kids. And by the way, all of the parks have great tree for shade: they're plentiful and on the house!
